We continue passing Pulteney Bridge, on to Great Pulteney street with its Jane Austen & other film set locations. Passing the Kennet & Avon canal locks we proceed up one of Bath's 7 hills for panoramic views of the city from the university/American museum. The latter part of the tour explores the Georgian sector properly. John Woods' masterpieces, Queen square, The Circus & The Royal Crescent. At the Crescent you alight to be entertained by the Georgian Wigged guide to comically reenact life here in the 1700's.
Return to the start past the Jane Austen centre again with its costumed guides you will have become 'Experts on Bath'. From all over the U. K.& Europe. From America to New Zealand. They come, I show, they remember.
Who was to know the affect with the arrival of Admiral Arthur Philip, John Wood, Ralph Allen & Dr. Johnson would have on a City. The Admiralty & the Universities are major influences in BATH.
Admirals, Architects, Engineers & Doctors abound on every Crescent corner. Historically, it was always thus.
City of Bath Guides mostly deal with the Coach touring aspect of BATH but all other tours can be undertaken.
